CODE OF CONDUCT

WE AT BLAZE BELIEVE THAT EVERY ATHLETE CAN BE A STAR

IN ORDER TO MAKE THIS POSSIBLE THERE NEEDS TO BE RULES PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO GO OVER THESE WITH YOUR ATHLETE AND MAKE SURE THAT BOTH YOU AND YOUR CHILD UNDERSTAND THEM FULLY.

1) Please come to all practices fully prepared

Hair up, practice shoes, water or sports drink (no soda please) proper clothes

Although there are no specific practice clothes required there is a dress code make sure that you are adhering to this.

2) All practices are mandatory In order to remain competitive it is important that every athlete is at every practice and on time. If for some reason you cannot attend a practice your coach must be notified at least 2 hours in advance by a parent or guardian not the athlete. If you are running more than 5 minutes late please contact a staff member and let them know. There will be rewards and penalties for this rule.

3) No negative remarks will be tolerated. We are a team and in order to be at our best we must remain positive. No one child is any more important than the other. Please refrain from any negative conversations with your child concerning other athletes or organizations. We also discourage any conversations of this nature with another parent. Remember if we show respect to others we will in turn receive respect.

4) We at Blaze only rent the space needed for our practices. This space does not include: the basketball court, foam pit and skating rink. The video games can only be played before and after practice. Please remind your child that he or she must remain in the designated areas as defined by their coach.

5) Parents of mini age and above are not allowed to remain at practice. You may return ½ hour prior to practice ending to observe any new skills your child and the team may have accomplished. This rule will not apply to our special needs team due to the nature of this team a parents assistance may be needed

6) All Blaze events, meetings and competitions are mandatory. For both the athlete and parent /guardian. There will be rewards and penalties for this rule.

7) All athletes must be in full uniform for award ceremonies at competition. If you change into your casual wear prior to awards you must change back into uniform to include proper shoes and hair restraint prior to taking stage or you will not be allowed to join your team on stage for award ceremonies. This is for pictures and uniformity in appearance and to show that we take pride in being who we are.

8) All payments, paperwork and fundraising requirements must be completed in a timely fashion. Please remember that we have deadlines to meet.
